The ASHM is Arakawa's "medium" size ArtSafer hook. A weight-activated, battery-operated, self-contained alarm hook. Attach it to a cable, hang your framed art, remove the alarm activation ring, and you're done. If the art is lifted (or the cable is cut), the piercing alarm will sound.
